For such thin shapewear material, this high waisted brief does quite a bit of tucking in, smoothing down and straightening up of the posture. I was unsure about the sizing, as I'm a size 12, but decided on the smaller option because the instructions said to go by your hip measurements. I would say I'm more of an apple than a pear and these fit me nicely. It is difficult to find a shapewear that caters for all shapes, but for an apple, this one does the trick. I would say this is an effective piece of comfortable shapewear. I haven't found it to roll down, but during the course of the day it does work it's way down a bit from right below the bra, however, it will still do it's job even then.

Being 120 denier, these opaque tights are super-thick and warm. They also have a nice solid black colour because of this thickness. If you're trying to decide between two sizes, I'd recommend going for the larger one. The brief is made of firmer material than the stretchy legs and goes up quite high.
I wouldn't call this shapewear, but it certainly offers some smoothing down around the brief area and is comfortable enough for regular wear.
